Минимальная сумма, которая должна находиться на счете инвестора в брокерской фирме. Сумма, как правило, меньшая, чем изначальная маржа, но являющаяся ее частью, которая должна всегда поддерживаться на депозите. Если капитал клиента по какой-либо фьючерсной позиции падает до или ниже обязательного минимального уровня маржи, брокер должен предъявить требование о внесении дополнительного обеспечения на сумму, необходимую для восстановления капитала клиента на его счете до изначального уровня маржи.
